Located at the articulation between the Avenue Gallieni and Avenue de la République in Nanterre, the Néon office building contributes to the renewal of the Docteur Pierre site while respecting the historic “Château de Nanterre” building in its volumetry and façades.
The façades orient the building accesses. The volumes are arranged simply in modules to guarantee definition of the public spaces but also privacy for the work spaces.
At the Gallieni/République articulation, a volume signal with an 18-metre profile punctuates the perspective. It has a generous plaza and ends in a cantilevered volume above the terrace at +3 level on the Rue Becquet. Facing the Docteur Pierre building (Château de Nanterre), a large terrace provides viewpoints. The offices are lit to a depth of 5 metres via the exterior façades or patios; the central strip is reserved for cores, sanitary facilities, and meeting rooms. At level +3, the offices have a depth of 12 m, and like the +4 level have access to a broad terrace finished with quality materials.

The exterior envelope is sculpted with slight angles that accompany the terraces and cantilevers. The façades make up a mineral skin of solid Krion in bas-relief or perforated. Out of respect for the Docteur Pierre building – a mosaic of reds and beiges –, they are light in colour, from white to light grey. They lend themselves to two levels of reading: from a distance, the building has a mineral, monolithic character; close up, the openings become apparent and the interplay of the perforations in front of the windows becomes clear.
The façades are also animated by large glassed areas that open on chosen perspectives – in particular the angle of the Allée du Docteur Pierre and the Avenue de la République, offering views on old Nanterre and creating a signal effect for people coming from the RER rail station.

The ground floor is flexible and houses the food services, service and meeting areas. A large hall and cafeteria open onto the “stained-glass garden”, the true green heart of the project. The patio brings in light, but also provides a high degree of privacy.
